THE NORTH WEST TROPHY.
THE NORTH WEST TROPHY IS HELD IN SOUTHPORT ENGLAND AND IS ONE OF THE LEADING YOUTH FOOTBALL TOURNAMENTS IN THE NORTH OF ENGLAND.
Stanley High School is a popular and successful High School for students aged 11-16 in the resort town of Southport in Merseyside, North West of England. It has been a designated specialist Sports College since 2003. Two recent monitoring visits by independent experts reported excellent student behaviour and outstanding relationships between teachers and students.(source; wikpedia.org)
 
 
 
The Tournament in Southport we are entering is called "THE  NORTH WEST TROPHY" It will be its 5th year running and is one of the leading
 youth tournaments in the  North of England. The games are played at Stanley High School which has 5 full size pitches and 4 mini football  pitches. The games are played on the 24th - 25th of May 2008. We will be living at a venue yet to be confirmed. The group will leave Aberdeen
 about 6-7 am on Friday the 23rd of May and  return to Aberdeen about 7-8pm on the 26th May.This is the first time as a squad we will be
going away, so we are all  looking forward to it.We hope to be able to  raise sufficient funds so that the kids will have a weekend they will  remember for the rest of their lives.

SPORTSMANS CLUB EXCELS FOR MIDDLEFIELD WASPS UNDER 11'S.

Middlefield wasps under 11's were honoured guests of the Aberdeen Sportsmans Club which opened it's doors for an excellent fundraiser to allow the Middlefield Wasps under 11's football team the chance to enter the "North West Trophy", which is held each year in  England.
